This role will involve working with clients needing support having got in touch via one of the SWGfL helplines (Revenge Porn Helpline and Report Harmful Content). The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to calls and emails supporting victims of intimate image abuse and other forms of abusive and harmful online behaviour.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Helpline Practitioner to join our small, passionate team supporting victims affected by intimate image abuse and other forms of harmful online behaviour and doing the important work of reporting abusive content shared online.

We are looking for someone who can be empathetic while providing practical advice and support by phone, email and messaging services; have a strong understanding of social media and technology; carry out thorough and effective online searching and reporting across multiple platforms, maintain detailed records and data collection; support multiple projects across the Helplines team.

The role will involve offering advice and support that will help clients with the removal of abusive content and regain control of their situation. We work across the online industry, including social media and adult content sites, to remove non-consensually shared images. We work closely with partners across the domestic abuse/VAWG sector to ensure we are offering appropriate advice, support and signposting.

Please note, due to the nature of content reported to the Helpline, the post holder will be exposed to view high volumes of adult content, which can be extremely graphic in nature.

The role will require liaison with a range of external organisations and stakeholders, platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and sites hosting adult content, police and legal services and other support partners.
