BTThe Revenge Porn Helpline is hosting a training session as part of SWGfL and the UK Safer Internet Centre’s Online Safety Clinic on March 20th, 2024, which will be providing essential information on intimate image abuse.
This virtual session aims to discuss various aspects of intimate image abuse, its connections with other forms of abuse, and relevant legislation, such as the implementation of the Online Safety Act, which is aimed at criminalising such behaviour.
Alongside this, we’ll explain some of the work we do, the cases we support, and how we assist in the removal of non-consensually shared intimate content online. The session will also provide information about how to support adults affected by intimate image abuse, highlighting some of the main ways you can signpost to services such as the Revenge Porn Helpline. Alongside this, there will be opportunities to discuss specific questions and exchange best practices.
Participants are welcome to share information whilst benefitting from expert perspectives and accessing advice on any concerns they have. We will also provide attendees with support to help put what is learned into practice.
